Sessions
What a session is like, start to finish
A session is a quiet appointment in which sensors are placed on the scalp, a brief microcurrent signal runs for a short period, and you sit still and rest. Most of the appointment is waiting quietly rather than doing anything.
This section describes the practical side of visiting us. No page here promises an outcome, because we do not have one to promise.
What happens during a session?
You sit in a chair. A practitioner cleans two small areas of scalp or skin, places sensors, and starts the equipment. The signal itself runs for a short period, usually well under a minute per placement, and most people feel nothing while it runs.
The rest of the appointment is quiet. There is no task to perform, no screen to watch, and nothing to concentrate on.
How long does a visit take?
A standard visit is short. A first visit is longer because it includes intake paperwork, a look at the room, and time for your questions.
Plan for the first visit to take roughly twice as long as the ones after it.
- First visit: intake, orientation, then the session itself.
- Standard visit: arrival, placement, signal, quiet, and out.
- Either way, you drive yourself home unless you would rather not.
How often would you come in?
Spacing is a scheduling question rather than a formula. Some people come weekly, some fortnightly, some in a short cluster and then pause.
We do not tell you a number of visits in advance. Anyone who does is guessing.
Is this appropriate for everyone?
No. There are situations where we decline, and there are situations where we ask you to speak with your own clinician first.
The suitability page describes those categories in general terms. If you are unsure, book a consultation and ask before you pay for anything.
What does it cost?
Single visits and packages are listed openly on the pricing page, including the note that packages do not expire. Consultations are not charged.
There is no membership, no auto renewal, and no requirement to commit to a package to book a single session.
How do you know whether anything changed?
You track it yourself, with two simple scales you fill in before and after. Those scales are self report. They are not a clinical measure and we do not present them as one.
